Video Assignment

Scheduling Conflict: If you need to miss a lesson and can't reschedule it within the same week, submit a video assignment by Thursday night of the missed week.

Illness: If you need to cancel a lesson due to illness, video assignments are due by Thursday night the week following the missed week (to allow time for recovery.)

*Late submissions will not be a priority. I will still send feedback, but cannot guarantee a quick turnaround time.

Video Recording

  1. Description of what you’ve been working on in your practice time

  2. Two technical warmups (choose any from Practice Space App)

  3. Run through your songs (max 2) either with a track or a cappella. If singing a cappella, double check your track or a piano to make sure you’re singing in the correct key. Don’t guess the pitch.

Do each assignment as separate videos and keep them under 5 minutes each.

I’ll send written or video feedback via the Practice Space App by the end of the day on Friday of the deadline week.

When recording your video, you will need two devices. One for recording, and another with your Practice Space app assignments and backing tracks.

I recommend recording the videos on your own device and uploading them to your practice or via the chat in Practice Space.

Make sure your Practice Space app notifications are turned on. This will alert you that I’ve left a comment, as well as when I’ve uploaded a new lesson.
