Songwriting Masterclass w/ Trent Wagler

Emerging and Rising Artists will join together for this songwriting workshop/masterclass with Trent Wagler.

Warmups, Singing Games, and Singing (Tentative)

We will run through our standard warmups, solfege and rhythm games, and then singers will have an opportunity to sing a song they’re working on in their lessons.

Depending on musical rehearsals/performances, this class may be cancelled. 3+ students required to attend for class to be held.

Jazz & Improv Masterclass with Tina Hashemi

Join us for a community group class open to all high schoolers interested in singing! No experience required. We’re so excited to have jazz singer Tina Hashemi join us again for a jazz and improv workshop.

Acting Masterclass with Cassidy Lam

Studio Members will perform a song for acting feedback. All songs must be memorized to best connect with their acting choices.

Acting Workshop with Cassidy Lam

Join us for an acting workshop with our acting coach Cassidy Lam. She will run us through fun exercises to help us learn how to physically express emotions and characters.

We’ll use this time to make a list and sing some of your favorite caroling songs to get ready for the Studio-Wide Caroling even at the end of the semester.

A full run-through (with accompanist) of our Studio Showcase. All participants are required to attend.

Singers must schedule an individual 30-minute rehearsals to run through their song with our Accompanist, Tara Davis.

Accompanist Fees are due at the time of rehearsal.

During this class we’re going to review the diagnostics/stylisms worksheet we learned in our September group class and apply them. Come prepared make new sounds as a group and individually.

Bring a song that has a unique sound or stylisms, and we’ll spend time studying and imitating them.

We will explore singing exercises and scales in minor keys to get into the “spooky” season. Come prepared to sing your “spookiest” song.

All singers who want to perform in the Studio Coffeehouse on Saturday, May 9 need to submit their songs and intent to perform form.

CCM Masterclass
Emerging Artist Studio Members Only

Guest/Clinician: Haley Hudson, M.M. Pedagogy (voice)

All Emerging Artists will prepare a pop song of their choice and perform it memorized for our guest clinician, Haley Hudson. Each singer will have 7-8 minutes to work with Haley in front of the group, followed by a Q&A session.

Learn how to hold your on voice part when there are others around you! We will work on singing in harmony and rounds to give everyone practice maintaining their vocal line.
